This 2nd batch was much improved.
I cut down on the water, since the recipe called for dry yeast, and I substituted my starter. Just a much better texture. Still dense, but not a bit gluey. The crust was perfect. See my first attempt here.

It looks absolutely delicious Mary! Now we just need some pastrami and sauerkraut- YUM!;)

Haha…Picked up some warm pastrami yesterday and just devoured it with some mustard on the bread. heaven!
