Today’s bread baking venture: charcoal sourdough.
Next time, more charcoal to make it darker. And—salt. Totally forgot to add. Easily remedied by sprinkling over a generous amount of sea salt on top of a slathering of butter. The charcoal gives it a dramatic color, but doesn’t change the taste. Inspired by The Bread Exchange. (like them on Facebook).
